Yes, you will need to make an appointment for your preferred date, time and package. Walk-ins are difficult to accommodate due to my workload.

If you plan on having only one 3D/4D ultrasound examination, I would recommend having the ultrasound performed between the 30th and 38th week of the pregnancy. However, excellent images of your baby can be obtained anytime from 16 weeks of pregnancy.

I have found that the best stages are between 14-25 weeks (for gender and body images) and 30-38 weeks (for best face images and interaction, seeing smiles, and responding to voices). In between these times often babies are breech or transverse, which can result in you not being able to see your baby’s face. Many mothers obtain more than one 3D/4D ultrasound and have images to enjoy from their second and third trimesters.

No, however I do need you to be WELL hydrated as this will giver you clearer images. I encourage my clients to do their best to drink close to 2 litres of water a day in the 1-2 weeks lead up to their appointment.

Yes. In fact, I encourage my clients to invite family and friends to attend the elective 4D ultrasound session. This is a joyous and wonderful experience, one that can be shared with your family and loved ones. I have seating for 7 guests within the suite in Australia Arcade.

Yes, I offer gender determination from 14 weeks. I can’t, however, guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental stage and fetal position all affect the ability to determine sex. If this is the case, we will invite you back for free a week later.

Usually, but not always. Sometimes if the baby is persistently looking face down, i.e. towards your spine it may be difficult to see the baby’s face. If this happens, a repeat scan on another day (at no extra charge) will usually succeed because the baby has turned to a more favourable position. I can make no promises that the images will be similar to those you might have seen elsewhere or even from my clinic, or that I can always meet everyone’s expectations. Every baby scans differently, depending on baby’s gestational age, position, amount of fluid, and mother’s BMI. I promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images of whatever parts of the baby that can be seen.

This depends on the position of your baby but you may see it sucking its thumb, moving around, changing position, wriggling its fingers and toes, kicking or stretching. During a 4D scan, you may see your baby poking its tongue out, yawning or smiling.

No. We do not replace the diagnostic ultrasounds your doctor will order. We offer no form of medical advice throughout the session and cannot provide measurements of the baby or establish a due date. If you have any concerns regarding your pregnancy, you must seek advice from your medical provider.

Our ultrasound appointments are very popular, so we require 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule your ultrasound appointment.  If you need to cancel your appointment, your deposit is non-refundable.
